Lynda Buffett
Real Estate was always part of Lynda’s family life while growing up in Richmond Hill. Walking “knee-deep in mud” after school, through her father’s subdivisions checking out the progress of each home, was what she liked to do for entertainment with her friends. Growing up, she was the oldest in a family of seven children.

After graduating Lynda’s family moved to Dufferin County where they settled in Mono Township.  Once career opportunities came along, Lynda made several moves over the years to Tottenham, Toronto, Whitby and then back to Toronto before returning to Dufferin County in 1997 where she settled in Shelburne and lives with her husband Bob Carruthers.

With an extensive sales background that initially began in the life insurance and financial planning sector, Lynda later specialized as a pension plan & employee benefits consultant.

Always having an interest in politics, Lynda served as an elected member of municipal council while living in Whitby. It was here she gained an in depth knowledge of land use planning and development issues. This was a town that had grown from a small community of 25,000 when she first moved there, to a population of 95,000.

With another career move, Lynda accepted a position as Director of Sales for an insurance company whose head office was in Toronto. She initially moved there and held that position for ten years. But after the demands of ongoing travel throughout the province, Lynda opted to work closer to home, which was Shelburne now for a number of those years.

After becoming as a licensed mortgage agent, Lynda helped her clients arrange financing for both residential and commercial properties in Dufferin County and the surrounding area.

Always interested in volunteering in community organizations wherever she lived, Lynda has been an active member of the Rotary Club of Shelburne for over ten years.

She has also served on a number of local municipal town and county committees and boards in Dufferin County and is currently Chair of the Town Hall (Art) Gallery in Shelburne.

Lynda’s creative interests as a local artist in the area have included not only acrylic painting of large canvases both realistic and abstract, but as well, helping others design, renovate and decorate their homes for selected projects.

Many of these designs have included major renovations both for clients and several investment projects she has completed of her own.

Lynda believes that her clients can benefit from this experience, whether it is buying a home for the first time and needing some guidance to consider potential work on a property purchase or while working with seasoned buyers who may need ideas for possible changes to a property where renovations/additions will become part of the purchasing arrangements.

Her goal was always to become a real estate agent, later in life and follow in her family’s footsteps (both parents, a sister & a brother.) Now Lynda is very pleased and excited to be part of Royal LePage RCR Realty office in Shelburne. She looks forward to working with both her existing & new clients, friends and business associates, to assist them in purchasing the home of their dreams.
